<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately performing the positioning of a rotating body in a shaft direction. <P>SOLUTION: A groove part 53a going round the peripheral surface of the shaft member 53 of a supply roller is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member 53, and the projecting piece for engagement 121 of a regulating member 120 provided in a bearing member for supporting the shaft member 53 in a rotatable state is engaged in the groove part 53a formed on the shaft member 53, and the movement of the shaft member 53 to both sides in the shaft direction with reference to the bearing member is regulated by a 1st regulating surface 121a regulating the movement of the shaft member 3 to either side in the shaft direction with reference to the bearing member and a 2nd regulating surface 121b regulating the movement thereof to the other side in the shaft direction.
