PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable portable radio apparatus for obtaining superior antenna performance concerning the foldable portable radio apparatus, having a structure for opening/closing a case by using a bendable surface shape connecting member. SOLUTION: The foldable portable radio apparatus 100 comprises a first circuit board 101 arranged in a first case 11; a second circuit board 102 arranged in a second case 12; a connection part 13, constituting the bendable surface shape connection member which mechanically connects the first case 11 to the second case 12; a flexible connection element 103 for electrically connecting the first circuit board 101 to the second circuit board 102; a radio circuit part 106 arranged in the second circuit board 102; and an antenna element 104 connected to the radio circuit part 106. The antenna element 104 is arranged at a position substantially along the connection part 13. The tip section of the antenna element 104 is arranged at the remotest position from the first and second circuit boards 101, 102, when the foldable portable radio apparatus 100 is closed.
