PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overcurrent prevention circuit capable of detecting a current without exerting an influence on a route through which the current flows. SOLUTION: The overcurrent prevention circuit is provided with: a voltage supply circuit 1 constituted of an operational amplifier 2 and a bipolar transistor 3 or a field effect transistor; a current detection circuit (4-6) having a hole element for detecting a magnetic field which is generated at the time of supplying a voltage from the voltage supply circuit 1 and generating a voltage and a hole voltage amplifier circuit for amplifying an output voltage from the hole element; a comparator 7 for comparing the output voltage outputted from the current detection circuit with a reference voltage; and a subtraction circuit 8 for subtracting the output voltage of the comparator 7 from a control voltage for controlling the voltage supply circuit 1. The voltage supply circuit 1 outputs a voltage corresponding to the voltage outputted from the subtraction circuit 8, and when the voltage outputted from the hole voltage amplifier circuit exceeds the reference voltage, the subtraction circuit 8 subtracts the output voltage of the comparator 7 from the control voltage to reduce the voltage and a current from the voltage supply circuit 1.
