PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a HDD of a portable electronic equipment in which a non-contact type IC module and the HDD are incorporated from impact. SOLUTION: In a mode 1, operation of a non-contact type IC module 8 is permitted and operation of a HDD part 6 is prohibited. In a mode 2, operation of the non-contact type IC module 8 is prohibited and operation of the HDD part 6 is permitted. When operation is switched from the mode 1 to the mode 2, as operation of the non-contact type IC module 8 is prohibited, The HDD part 6 can perform write-in or read-out without being affected by impact, electromagnetic wave, and magnetism. When operation is switched from the mode 2 to the mode 1, since after a magnetic head 28 is evacuated, operation of the HDD part 6 is prohibited, head crush caused by impact can be prevented.
