PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display apparatus wherein problems of liquid leakage of a composition for display and peeling of a sealing wall are suppressed. SOLUTION: In the electrochromic display apparatus wherein a working electrode side substrate having a transparent working electrode provided thereon and a counter electrode side substrate having a counter electrode provided thereon are opposed to each other so that the transparent working electrode and the counter electrode are opposed to each other, the composition for display containing a coloring substance capable of repetitively performing coloring and decoloring by oxidation and reduction and an aprotic polar solvent is disposed therebetween and coloring and decoloring the coloring substance by conducting electricity between the transparent working electrode and the counter electrode to perform display, the composition for display is sealed by a sealing wall adhering to inner peripheral parts of the working electrode side substrate and the counter electrode side substrate and consisting of a composition containing an olefinic resin having a polar group.
