A go kart steering measurement tool (2) for measuring at least one of a caster angle and a king pin angle of a front wheel steering mechanism of a go kart includes a tool body (4), and an axle engagement structure (6) adapted to position the go kart steering measurement tool on an axle of the go kart, wherein the tool body (4) has a target surface (20, 30) for making an impinging laser beam from a separate laser emission tool visible to a user of the go kart steering measurement tool (2), wherein the target surface (20, 30) has a first scale (24, 34), including a plurality of first markings, and a second scale (26, 36), including a plurality of second markings, with the first scale (24, 34) and the second scale (26, 36) having the same scaling, and wherein the first scale (24, 34) and the second scale (26, 36) are spaced apart, such that, upon the separate laser emission tool being attached to the front wheel steering mechanism and the front wheel steering mechanism being turned and the impinging laser beam moving across the target surface (20, 30) as a result thereof, a first measurement on the first scale (24, 34) and a second measurement on the second scale (26, 36) can be made by visual inspection, with a difference between the first measurement and the second measurement being an indication of the caster angle or of the king pin angle of a steerable stub axle of the go kart. |
