A linear motor (1) comprising an inner yoke, an outer yoke (4), a coil winding body (8) and a movable magnet section, first and second clamp rings (2, 3) for clamping the outer yoke (4), and a spacer (5) for coupling the first and second clamp rings (2, 3) through a specified interval. The movable magnet section drives a piston reciprocating in a cylinder. The first clamping member (2) is provided with a supporting part (16) of a spring for urging the piston and the second clamping member (3) is secured directly or indirectly to the cylinder. A linear compressor and a Stirling engine comprises the linear motor (1), respectively.
