<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent redundant communication between a communication terminal for receiving and playing back a content and a server for transmitting the content from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: A two-dimensional bar code recorded on paper is read (S2); a content is downloaded by using the read two-dimensional bar code and the downloaded content is stored in a predetermined storage means in a cellular phone (S28); and the content of the two-dimensional bar code which has been used for downloading the content is stored in the storage means by associating it with the downloaded content (S32). When the two-dimensional bar code is read again (S2), whether or not the content corresponding to the read two-dimensional bar code is present in the storage means is determined based on information stored in the storage means (S6).
