摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft having a structure capable of surely generating and advancing breaking by a required low load. <P>SOLUTION: This propeller shaft has an FRP cylindrical body and a metallic joint pressed in an end of the FRP cylindrical body. The propeller shaft is characterized in that the metallic joint is provided with a flange capable of transmitting a shaft directional compressive load applied to the metallic joint to the end surface of the FRP cylindrical body, and the end of the FRP cylindrical body is provided with a layered and annular trigger part extending in the shaft direction from the end surface of the FRP cylindrical body in a position corresponding to an outer diameter of the flange part and becoming a starting point of the breaking of the FRP cylindrical body to the shaft directional compressive load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
