<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for discharge, high in durability and capable of stably generating discharge continuously for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: A cover material 2 having a recessed housing part 1 is formed of a ceramic sintered body. An electrode 3 is provided in the recessed housing part 1 and the surface of the electrode 3 is stuck fast to the inner side of the recessed housing part 1. When comparing the ceramic sintered body with a thermal spray coating layer of ceramic, its percentage of void can be made smaller and finer, and if the electrode 3 is coated with the cover material 2 of the sintered body, dielectric breakdown is not easily caused when discharging and the cover material 2 is prevented from being damaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
