<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly mesh a striker with a latch even if relative positions of the striker and the latch are changed. <P>SOLUTION: When a door is put into a closed state, a guide member 34 is brought into sliding contact with an outer wall of a latch case 114 in the meshing of the latch 12 with the striker 31, so as to guide a relative movement direction in which the latch 12 is meshed with the striker 31. This enables the latch 12 to be smoothly meshed with the striker 31. In particular, when an automatic opening/closing device for performing the operation of opening the door, and a door latch device for operating the latch 12 in such a manner that the latch 12 is meshed with the striker 31 are provided, the linkage of the automatic opening/closing device to the door latch device can be smoothly established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
