PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a feeling of discomfort, as much as possible, regarding hearing by suppressing collision of a blade surface of a blow fan of an outdoor unit and a turbulent air flow, and effectively reducing a discrete frequency sound (the so-called NZ sound) having a product of a rotational frequency and the number of blades of the blow fan as a fundamental frequency. SOLUTION: In the outdoor unit, a heat exchanger 2 is provided in lower parts of cross sectionally rectangular outdoor unit casing 1A and 1B interiors, the blow fan 4 is provided in upper parts, one parts of side wall parts of the casings 1A and 1B are adjacently arranged in an outer circumference part and an upstream side of the fan 4, and one face or more of the side wall part of the casing in the fan 4 upstream side is closed. A stream lining guide 10A smoothly guiding sucked air in an air suction opening direction of the fan 4 is provided in a corner part in the casings 1A and 1B to suppress collision of the fan 4 blade surface and a turbulent air flow, and to reduce the discrete frequency sound (NZ).
