PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce axial vibration of a bimetal in simple structure, and prevent malfunction of the bimetal due to heat radiation of a viscous fluid coupling in a viscous fluid coupling device. SOLUTION: This viscous fluid coupling device comprises a plate 15 to separate a housing comprising a case 11 and a cover 12 to a storage chamber 21 and an actuation chamber 22, a communication hole 33 provided in a plate 15 to communicate the storage chamber 21 with the actuation chamber 22, a rotor 14 disposed in the actuation chamber 22, and fixed to one end of a drive shaft 10 to be integrally rotated with the drive shaft 10, a valve 16 disposed in the storage chamber 21 to open/close the communication hole 33, a rod 18 fixed at one end to the valve 16, and fixed at the other end to the inner circumferential side of the bimetal 17 in a spiral form to be rotatably supported by the housing, and a bimetal holder 42 to fix a mounting outer end 40 formed by bending the outer circumferential side of the bimetal 17.
