PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle condition storage device for storing various kinds of data regarding the condition of a vehicle and past fail information while reducing errors in writing data. SOLUTION: A transmission controller has a starter cut output for preventing an operational error of a starter. The starter cut output is used for writing the data. The starter cut output is provided for preventing the operational error of the starter during clutch engagement and in-gear, and the starter is not operated during the starter cut output. So, the data is written in this condition. Even when cut output conditions are not established, the starter cut output is held until the writing of the data is completed.
