PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester composition for a cellulose ester film excellent in optical and physical properties, particularly dimensional stability, without using a solvent; to provide a cellulose ester film, an optical film and a polarizing plate using the same; and to provide production methods thereof. SOLUTION: The cellulose ester composition used for producing the cellulose ester film by melt-casting comprises ethylenic unsaturated monomer or an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a functional group and a photopolymerization initiator.
