PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of properly controlling the surface temperature of a roller surface of a heat roller. SOLUTION: A printer mechanism control circuit 23 derives the surface temperature of a roller surface 61a from a sensor output and controls power supply to a heater 24 on the basis of the surface temperature. A conversion characteristic on the basis of which the surface temperature is derived from the sensor output is expressed as a temperature table 231 describing a relation between the sensor output and the surface temperature. The printer mechanism control circuit 23 calibrates the temperature table 231 being the conversion characteristic, on the basis of a rise rangeΔθcorresponding to an output variance of a temperature sensor 64 after the start of power supply to the heater 24.
