PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer with a cutting head, the width dimension of which can be reduced, and which can keep component costs low. SOLUTION: This image creating and cutting apparatus, which creates and cuts out a desired image, has a means for locking an edge of an ascending/descending slider in the capping of the inkjet head which creates an image on a sheet according to the desired image while moving on the sheet in a predetermined direction.
