PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection rotor having a simple structure and capable of weight saving and high-speed rotation, a projection device equipped with the rotor, and a grinding method. SOLUTION: The projection rotor is composed of a rotatable disk body 11, a recessed part 12 formed on one side face of the disk body, a circumferential groove formed on an inner peripheral wall of the recessed part, and projection grooves 15 with U-shaped or channel-shaped cross sections radially extending from the circumferential groove for projecting abrasive grain P. A side face of the disk body 11 formed with the grooves is open. An extending part may extend inwardly from an upper end part of the circumferential groove. A side wall on the upstream side of the groove 15 may be curved or bent to the closing direction of the groove. An axis of the groove 15 may be inclined from the radial direction of the disk body 11 to the upstream direction of the rotational direction of the disk 11 at an angle of 5-30 degrees. The projection device is equipped with a rotating/driving means of the projection rotor, a supply means for supplying the abrasive grain to the grooves 15 from the opening side face of the rotor, and a belt 20 laid around the periphery of the rotor for closing and stopping the periphery of the rotor except the opening area.
