PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller for a fluid transmission device for allowing accurate visual check for a welding seam without the need for skills by forming the annular welding seam between a hub and a shell with relatively less heat input. SOLUTION: The impeller for the fluid transmission device comprises the hub 2h and the cup shell 2s joined to the outer periphery of the hub 2h via the annular welding seam 40. The inner peripheral face of the shell 2s is fitted to the outer peripheral face of the hub 2h, and the welding seam 40 is formed between the outer peripheral face and the inner peripheral face throughout the length of a fitting depth with laser welding.
