PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the door opening of a game machine without providing a door opening detection sensor. SOLUTION: The main board of a slot machine is attached inside a case body, a sub board is attached to the inner side of a door, and communication between the main board and the sub board is performed by optical signals. When the door is opened, the optical signals of a light emitting part do not reach a light receiving part. Then, the opening of the door is detected in the sub board by performing the step of sending out the optical signals from the light emitting part, the step of resetting a timer when the light receiving part receives the optical signals, the step of reading the value of the timer and the step of comparing the value of the timer with a preset threshold and judging that the door is opened at the time of exceeding it.
