According to the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate including a first light blocking region where a plurality of transistors are formed; a second substrate configured to face the first substrate wherein a common electrode is formed in the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The first substrate comprises: a data line extending in a vertical direction; a plurality of color filters configured to overlap a boundary region to form a color filter overlapping unit of a vertical direction; and a light blocking member horizontally extending to cover the first light blocking region. In a region in which the light blocking member is formed, the data line and the color filter overlapping unit are separated from each other in a horizontal direction. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device makes density of a spacing material uniform while preventing a light leakage phenomenon.
