The sensor assembly, for the detection of gases and vapors, has a housing (7.3) within an outer housing structure (7.1) with a relatively large opening (7.2) for the gas sensor (7.8), with an opening (7.7) of a defined surface area with a diameter of 0.05-0.6 mm as the gas inflow.
