The laundry holder (7) has a spacer (8) with a flexible format on which the laundry (9) to be dried is placed with the spacer in a flat position, with subsequent rolling of the spacer to allow it to fit into the rotary drying drum (2), the overlapping sections of the laundry spaced from one another for even drying via the heated air flow passed through the drying drum. The spacer can be provided by a number of flat elements which are linked together to allow them to be formed into a helix.
