The invention concerns a metal housing (2) designed to hold electronic components or the like. Said housing comprises a side wall (8) provided with a ledge (20) having a bore (16) for receiving a fixing screw (6). The side wall (8) has, at the bore (16), a recessed region (10) whereof the concavity is oriented outwards of the housing (2), the ledge (20) being adapted to receive the screw (6) overhanging the recessed region (10).
