<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic member having high reliability by suppressing generation of micro-cracks at the surface part and the peripheral part of a recessed part. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic member 1 has the recessed part 2 at least in one main surface and is composed of a main component and a plurality of additive components. The recessed part 2 is formed by heat irradiation.
