<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technology for reasonably constructing an airbag cover to cover a vehicular airbag. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic machining device 200 to be used for manufacturing an airbag cover comprises an ultrasonic machining blade 216 to machine a tear line 102 in a cover back side 101 of an airbag cover 100, a permeation type first displacement sensor 220 and a second displacement sensor 230 which are arranged on the side opposite to the cover back side 101 of the airbag cover across the airbag cover 100 in a facing manner to a blade tip 216a of the ultrasonic machining blade 216, and directly detects the distance from the blade tip 216a through the airbag cover 100, and a control unit 242 to control the relative position of the blade tip 216a with respect to the airbag cover 100 based on the result of detection by the first displacement sensor 220 and the second displacement sensor 230. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
