<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance negative pressure capable of being utilized for a brake booster. <P>SOLUTION: A negative pressure enhancing type check valve 10 to be directly connected to the brake booster of a vehicle enhances partial negative pressure supplied thereto, and restricts a possible backward flow of air to the brake booster. The valve has a venturi (first and second portions 36, 38) for reducing pressure of the air sucked in by a flow between a first intake port 18 and an exhaust port 20 with a partial load on an intake manifold of an engine of the vehicle. The venturi also pneumatically communicates with a second intake port 62 directly attachable to the brake booster to direct the air pressure in the second intake port 62 toward the partial load enhanced in the venturi. Valve seats 42, 44, 74, 76 inside the valve and seal members 60, 61 collaborate to allow a flow of the air from the second intake port to be directed toward the venturi, and not to be directed toward the opposite direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
