<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality control method for a shell type rolling bearing by which information on manufacturing processes is easily checked even after shipment or a delivery to a customer. <P>SOLUTION: In the shell type rolling bearing 1, specified information on the shell type rolling bearing 1 is recorded and managed by using an IC tag 5, including an RFID tag. The quality control method for the shell type rolling bearing includes; a process for fixing the IC tag 5 to the shell type rolling bearing 1; a process for recording the information on the shell type rolling bearing 1 on the fixed IC tag 5; and a process for reading the IC tag 5 at any time after the shipment and utilizing the IC tag 5.
