<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control discharge of nitrogen oxide in the process of restarting an internal combustion engine in a system for monitoring and controlling the NOx exhaust quantity in the process of restarting hybrid and normal vehicles. <P>SOLUTION: This system 100 includes: a first sensor 120 for determining a first level of exhaust oxygen in a position upstream from a catalytic converter 110, a second sensor 122 for determining a second level of exhaust oxygen in a mid-bed position of the catalytic converter, and a control device 106 for performing at least one processing for reducing NOx exhaust quantity when a difference between the first level and the second level of exhaust oxygen exceeds a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
