CONNECTOR FOR MEMORY CARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow multiple kinds of extremely thin memory cards to be mounted, in relation to a connector for a memory card.

SOLUTION: This connector for a memory card allow two kinds of memory cards to be mounted thereon. The connector for a memory card is so structured that shutters 4 and 5 formed in an insertion opening 2 comprise a right shutter 4 and a left shutter 5 always energized to be closed by energization means 3 and doubly opened inward; inclined guide surfaces 4a and 5a for guiding the thinner memory card out of the two kinds of memory cards to the lower position are formed on front wall surfaces of the left and right shutters; and card retention surfaces for restricting the position of the upper surface of the thinner memory card are formed at the lower positions of the inclined guide surfaces.
