PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of preventing a battery from falling off and having good operability in terms of a battery locking part. SOLUTION: The camera is equipped with a battery chamber 20 having a housing space part 21 in which the battery is housed, a rotary shaft 62 provided in the battery chamber 20, and the battery locking part 61 rotating and moving with the rotary shaft 62 as center between a locking position where it projects into a path for inserting the battery in the housing space part 21 and a retreat position where it retreats from the path to the outside. At least a part of the contact surface of the battery locking part 61 with the battery at the locking position comes into contact with the battery nearer to the retreat position side than a plane including the rotary shaft 62 and perpendicular to the contact surface.
