PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-return block for a snow chain capable of preventing damage to the rim of a wheel and reliably maintaining the end part, and to provide the snow chain with the same. SOLUTION: The non-return block 5 for the snow chain is provided with a body 51 with a channel 12 formed for passing the the end part 7 of the snow chain 2 inside and a ratchet or a claw 13 provided in the body 51 for locking the end part 7 of the chain part. At least one of insertion members 62, 63 is disposed on at least one side face of the body 51, and protruded from the side face to the side to be contacted with the rim 8 of the wheel 1 of a vehicle, thereby preventing the damage to the rim 8 of the wheel 1 by friction.
