PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp line communication apparatus and lamp line communication system in which data communication with an outdoor data center can be performed without being affected by noise from an indoor another electrical product. SOLUTION: The lamp line communication apparatus includes a lamp line communication MODEM 12 and a current transformer 13 comprised of an annular ferrite core 13a into which an indoor distribution line 11 is inserted, and a conductor line 13b wound around the ferrite core 13a. The conductor line 13b is connected to the input terminal of the lamp line communication MODEM 12, so that a lamp line communication signal to be transmitted through the indoor distribution line 11 is induced in the conductor line 13b and the lamp line communication signal is inputted to the lamp line communication MODEM 12.
