PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing the using states of portable terminals, by which labor for setting a log distribution condition in the portable terminals can be reduced, alteration of the log distribution condition can be prevented and the using states of the portable terminals can be managed in each purpose, and to provide the portable terminal. SOLUTION: The log distribution condition is downloaded from a management function part to a plurality of portable terminals and each portable terminal selects any one of a plurality of communication log storing means in accordance with the log distribution condition in each communication and stores a communication log in the selected communication log storing means.
