INFORMATION RECORDER, METHOD FOR EDITING STREAM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a postrecording processing at a high speed without deteriorating image quality regardless of kinds of the format of sound data in an already recorded data stream. SOLUTION: The information recorder is provided with: a first audio SRC 33 for converting sound data in a DV stream recorded in a recording medium such as an HDD device 19 into sound data of a prescribed format in which data volume is compressed; a second audio SRC 36 for converting sound data prepared differently from the DV stream into sound data of a similar format; and a DV stream processor 31 for storing the sound data converted by respective audio SRCs 33, 36 in a sound data recording area of the original data stream and editing the sound data as a data stream integrated with the original image data.
