PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy installation and removal of a partition in a house, facilitate installation of the partition and change of installation position, and enhance beauty. SOLUTION: This partition comprises engaging members 2 and 3 which are each arranged on a ceiling and a floor, and a panel 1 which is arranged between the engaging members. An upper part of the panel 1 has a vertically slidable engaging part 14; a lower part of the panel 1 has a part 15 for adjusting the height of the panel; the engaging part 14 of the panel can be engaged with the engaging member 2 of the ceiling; the part 15 can be placed on the engaging member 3 of the floor; and a baseboard 4 can be mounted on the lower part of the panel 1.
