<p>It is intended to provide a remedy for RA which contains, as the active ingredient, an inhibitor for interferon producing cell (IPC) activity. As the IPC activity inhibitor, use may be made of, for example, an antibody recognizing a cell surface antigen of IPC. For example, an antibody recognizing BST2 or its homolog is useful therefor. It is also intended to provide a method of screening a remedy for RA which involves the step of selecting a substance having an effect of controlling the IPC activity. It is clarified that suppressing the IPC activity can control the immune balance of an RA patient. That is, a novel therapeutic strategy for arthritis accompanied by autoimmune disease is provided.</p> |
