A touch pad (4) for operation is arranged for a user at hand, and a camera (1) is arranged above the touch pad (4). On a display (2), one or more GUI parts (3) are displayed for the user to input a desired command or information. When the user shifts the hand (6) onto the touch pad (4) to select the GUI part (3), an image of the hand (6) having the touch pad (4) as background is picked up by the camera (1). From image data outputted from the camera (1), a hand image (7) is created through a shape correcting process, and is displayed on the display (2). The user shifts the hand (6) so as to permit a fingertip of the hand image (7) to be over the desired GUI part (3), while looking at the hand image (7) displayed on the display (2), then, presses the touch pad (4).
