<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow all service units to access any job via an arbitrary service unit of a system without restricting all the service units to needing current information allowing direct access to a print job. <P>SOLUTION: This application pertains to a method for printing a print file by using a system comprising a plurality of service units, for instance, a plurality of printers and a print file memory. The system transmits information corresponding to a print job having the print file to a default service unit, stores the print file in the memory, links the information to a user, selects a service unit different from the default service unit, inputs data corresponding to the user in the selected service unit, and identifies the user by using the data; and the system extracts the print file linked to the identified user from the memory and prints it by the selected service unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
