METHOD OF EXTENDING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION RADIO FREQUENCY(RF) COVERAGE INSIDE BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved RF coverage extension inside buildings with simple construction and economicity in a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A wireless communication system includes at least one repeater antenna assembly for supplying sufficient RF coverage into a building of a house or the like. In one embodiment, the repeater antenna assembly has an automatically controllable gain to be controlled in accordance with a path loss associated with a reception signal and avoids base station transceiver desensitization and positive feedback. The disclosed assembly avoids the base station desensitization and positive feedback. Another disclosed art maintains a selected minimum link budget inside buildings.
