<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard device which detects the force in a lateral direction of a key. <P>SOLUTION: A common electrode 22 for left pressure sensing is a rectilinear wire-shaped belt (connection part) arranged in parallel with the line-up direction of the key and forms a left pressure sensing section (left projecting part) 24L projecting in the longitudinal direction of the key in a position facing the left pressing section 2d formed in the lower part the left end of each key.
