摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge type ionization device capable of evading as much as possible adhesion of a foreign matter to the discharge electrode while suppressing reduction of ion generation quantity by a nozzle. SOLUTION: The gas passage unit 11 which receives supply of a clean gas discharges the gas from a clean gas discharge port 48a coaxial with the tip of the discharge electrode 12 through the inner clean gas passages 50, 48 of an electrode assembly 40. The electrode assembly 40 has a guard ring 46 for surrounding the surroundings of the discharge electrode 12, and this guard ring 46 has an external air inlet opening 46b for allowing free passage of the atmospheric air.
