PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a fixing device of an image forming apparatus to reduce the number of parts of the device by simultaneously realizing a function of applying a pressure to a heat fixing roller and a function of giving a tension to an endless belt, without separately providing a means for giving tension to the endless belt of the fixing device. SOLUTION: A pressure fixing roller 12 is tilted at an angle to a center of a heat fixing roller 11 toward the downstream side in a carrying direction of a transfer material and is installed so as to press an endless belt 15 to the heat fixing roller 11. Consequently, component force Ft corresponding to the angle of tilt toward the downstream side in the carrying direction of the transfer material, out of pressing force F from the pressure fixing roller 12 to the endless belt 15 is tensile force of the endless belt 15. A part (a) forming a nip part between the endless belt 15 and the heat fixing roller 11 by the tensile force Ft is pressed to the heat fixing roller 11, and a pressing force Fs by which the transfer material is pressed toward the heat fixing roller 11 is obtained by the tensile force of the endless belt 15.
