PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect positions of shoulders without interrupting treatment operation in a massage machine which detects the positions of shoulders of a person to be treated and which performs treatment operation to the person to be treated with the detected positions of the shoulders. SOLUTION: Shoulder position detectors 9 and 10 each constituted of an infrared laser receiving and emitting element by a semiconductor and a circuit for processing its detected result are provided at a pillow part 4a swelled from a backrest part 4 to correct reference shoulder positions by the detected result of the heights of the shoulders 8a and 8b of the person 8 to be treated, for carrying out treatment operation. Consequently, precise shoulder positions are detected to correct the reference shoulder positions one by one without interrupting the treatment operation, so that it is possible to make a treatment means such as a massage ball 5 continue the treatment operation precisely at a desired treatment place following the change of the attitude of the person 8.
