PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting implement extremely convenient for carrying and storing by folding it into a compact size while retaining a mechanism having a strong cutting force. SOLUTION: This cutting implement is constituted of a pair of cutting members 1 and 2 turnably connected at their intermediate parts and a pair of handles 3 and 4 turnably connected at their tips. The connecting part C1 of the handles 3 and 4 goes in/out a space S which is surrounded with approximately lower half parts of the cutting members 1 and 2, to turnably connect the rear ends of the cutting members 1 and 2 to the intermediate parts of the handles 3 and 4 and, when the handles 3 and 4 are turnably operated and folded up, the handles 3 and 4 are laid along the outside parts of the cutting members 1 and 2.
