Antibacterial compounds are described herein having either formula (I) or formula (II): wherein R_1A, R_1B, R_1C, R_1D, X, Z, Q, R_2A, R_2B, R_2C and R_2D are as defined herein. Compositions comprising compounds of formulas (I) and (II) are also provided.
