Plasmazelle

Plasma cell designed to be fitted in a vacuum chamber (19) by means of a fixing (11), including a glass cloche (25) containing a pressurized gas (P'). The cloche has in its top an injection hole (29) and encloses at least anode (27) and cathode (26) electrodes which are mounted on a second fixing (28). A voltage is applied to the electrode terminals so as to cause ionization of the gas, which produces mono-atomic spaces before escaping through the hole (29). The cell includes: - electrodes (26,27) and fixing (28) which are all removable; - an electrically insulating quartz tube (30) fitted around the cathode (26), and; - a gas input hole (31).
