<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming images by using a plurality of developer accommodating means, which is designed to eliminate the need to remove a sealing member closing a developer supply opening when a user starts to use the apparatus, and is provided with a low-cost, space-saving automatic unsealing means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus uses the plurality of developer accommodating means attachable/detachable to/from the main body of the apparatus in order to supply developers to developing means for developing latent images formed on a photoreceptor drum. The image forming apparatus includes a motor 81, and a drive transmission means for transmitting the driving force of the motor 81 to each wind shaft for removing a developer seal closing the developer supply opening of each of the developer accommodating means. To remove the attached developer seal of each of the plurality of developer accommodating means, the drive transmission means can selectively transmit the drive to the wind shafts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
