<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal colloid that a liquid is stable at high concentration with few changes in viscosity and color tone and to provide a metal colloid capable of easily forming a metal mirror surface glossy area on various substrates and usage of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The improvement of metal colloid particles that the metal colloid is formed by mixing and dispersing the metal colloid of predetermined percentage in any one of an aqueous dispersion medium and a non-aqueous dispersion medium or a mixed dispersion medium of both media, the metal colloid particle comprises the metal particle and a protective agent where the metal colloid particles are coordination-modified on the metal particles and particle surface, the protective agent has a carbon skeleton containing any one of sulfur and oxygen or both of them in a molecule, and has a structure where any one of sulfur and oxygen or an atom or an atom group of both is coordination-modified on the metal particle surface as an anchor, and the protective agent contains one or two kinds of functional group selected from a group consisting of alkoxyl group, silanol group and hydroxyalkyl group in the molecular structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
