<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which smooth replenishment of toner by an agent transfer device using a powder pump is possible, even for small-diameter toner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with the agent transferring device which is loaded with the toner of 2 to 8 μm in volume average grain size (Dv) or a developer, containing the toner and transfers the toner or the developer by using the powder pump. The toner is manufactured (1), by dispersing at least a colorant, a polymer or polymerizable monomer into an aqueous medium and (2) the content of fine powder of ≤Dn/2 with respect to the number average grain size (Dn) of the toner is ≤20 number%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
